Landscape Design and Horticulture (LDH) is one-of-a-kind diploma that combines training in landscape design, plant science and horticulture to prepare you for exciting roles in transforming Singapore’s cityscape. The course prepares you for a career in sustainability-related fields such as horticulture, environmental science, landscape architecture and urban agriculture.

We will be showcasing our student’s final year project work. Mulching is the horticulture practice of adding a layer of organic or inorganic materials to improve soil structure, incorporate nutrients, and protect plants from physical damage. This final year project evaluated the influence of 4 different types of mulch – pine bark woodchips, compost, 5mm gravel chips, black polyethylene trash bags – on soil characteristics and plant growth of Orthosiphon aristatus (Cat’s Whiskers) in Singapore.
